Drew Buckley has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Drew is currently working as an Embedded Software Engineer at Sense since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Teradyne as a Software Engineer from August 2019 to February 2022. In this role, they served as an individual contributor and technical lead, focusing on designing and implementing IVI instrument drivers and embedded software using C and C++. Drew also performed maintenance on large legacy C/C++ code bases.
Before their role at Teradyne, Drew worked as a Research Intern at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018. Here, they conducted original research in nanophotonics and ultrafast physics and gained experience in designing and implementing simulations using Python and MATLAB. Drew collaborated closely with a team of graduate students and research scientists.
Drew also had a software engineering internship at Teradyne, Inc in 2017. Here, they designed and implemented features for Windows device drivers using C, C++/CLI, and C#. Drew also worked on infrastructure development for legacy hardware emulation using C, C++, and Assembly on VxWorks OS. Drew collaborated with a diverse team of engineers and participated in design reviews.
Drew Buckley attended Beaver Country Day School from 2006 to 2010. Following high school, they enrolled at Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2015 and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2019. During their time at Wentworth, they also pursued minors in Applied Mathematics and Physics. In 2014, Drew briefly studied Computer Science at the Harvard Extension School.
