Tom Hegel

Tom Hegel is a distinguished expert in threat research with extensive experience in cybersecurity. Currently serving as Distinguished Threat Researcher and Research Lead at SentinelOne since November 2021, Tom has held multiple significant roles at SentinelLabs, including Principal Threat Researcher and Senior Threat Researcher. Additionally, Tom provides advisory support to Validin beginning in March 2024. Previously, Tom worked at Lacework as a Senior Cloud Security Researcher and at AT&T as a Senior Security Researcher with the Alien Labs team. Tom's earlier career includes leadership roles at ProtectWise, Inc., and positions focused on incident response and security analytics at LogRhythm and InteliSecure.
