Isa Fulford

Isa Fulford is a technically skilled professional currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since 2022, focusing on post-training research. In addition, Isa has been a Scout at Sequoia Capital since 2023 and was a Mayfield Fellow at the Stanford Technology Ventures Program from 2021 to 2022. Previous roles include Software Engineer positions at Mem Labs and Amazon Web Services (AWS), where significant contributions involved exploring mathematical tools to predict computer system behavior and developing Amazon’s first unbounded proofs of memory safety. Isa also has experience as an AI Instructor at Inspirit AI and participated as a Nexus Fellow at The D. E. Shaw Group. Isa holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical and Computational Science with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University, and has furthered studies in mathematics at the University of Oxford, alongside a background in music.
