Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Data Science at Session AI

Manish Malhotra has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Starting in 1990, they worked as a Design Engineer at Engineers India Limited. In 1995, they became a Consultant at Lucent Bell Labs. From 1996 to 1998, they served as a Visiting Professor at Stanford University, teaching courses in Finite Element Analysis and Numerical Analysis.

Moving on, from 1998 to 2006, Malhotra worked at Sun Microsystems in various roles. Manish started as a Staff Engineer and then became a Software Manager, responsible for building partnerships with ISVs. Later, they served as the Director of Engineering, leading product development for Sun's Java Enterprise software tools. Manish also held the position of Director & Country Head of Software LOB, overseeing sales and development functions for the software organization in India.

From 2007 to 2011, Malhotra joined Sun Microsystems as a Director, first focusing on business development and sales enablement across APAC & Emerging Markets, and then leading the Software LOB in India.

In 2010, they worked as a Principal at Alcosta Networks. In 2011, they co-founded Social Lair, Inc, where they served as a Co-Founder and COO, responsible for product development and customer relations.

Since 2013, Malhotra has been involved with Session AI. Initially, they were a Co-Founder, CPO, and Head of Data Science, leading efforts to build customer interaction management solutions. Later, they took on the role of Chief Strategy Officer, aligning innovation and investments with business strategy to drive Session AI's growth.

Throughout their career, Malhotra has demonstrated their expertise in data science, product development, strategy, and leadership.

Manish Malhotra pursued their undergraduate studies in Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Following that, they went on to complete their Masters and PhD degrees at Stanford University's School of Engineering from 1991 to 1996.
