SETI Institute
Souvik Bose is a research scientist currently engaged with the SETI Institute, focusing on high-resolution observations from NASA's solar missions, including IRIS and MUSE, to address the coronal heating problem in solar physics. Experience includes roles at Lockheed Martin and NASA Ames Research Center since March 2022, in addition to serving as a science planner for the IRIS mission. Souvik's background encompasses a PhD in solar astrophysics from the University of Oslo, complemented by a strong foundation in astronomical instrumentation and data analysis from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics. A fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society of London, Souvik has contributed to various research initiatives, including applications of artificial intelligence in space exploration.
