David Vipond started their work experience as the former owner of Olcott House Bed & Breakfast Inn in 2006 and held this role until December 2019. In 2014, they became the former owner of Nantucket Whale Inn and continued in this position until September 2021. In July 2021, David joined Settlers Hospitality as the Senior Director of Sales and later transitioned to the role of Director of Sales in July 2022.
David Vipond attended Phillips Academy from 1972 to 1975, where they completed their high school education. Following that, they enrolled at Williams College from 1975 to 1979, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics.

We participate in Historic Hotels of America, Select Registry & Green Lodging with the Delaware Highlands Conservancy. Our hotels have a very high standard of hospitality with a strong focus on the guest experience. RESTAURANTS Our restaurants range in cuisine style, price, and décor. The Settlers Inn is a farm to table fine dining experience in the historic Arts & Crafts dining room or on our terrace overlooking an extensive garden with over 100,000 perennials. Glass-wine.bar.kitchen is a tapas style sophisticated casual dining establishment, set in a gorge next to the Paupack High waterfalls. The Dock on Wallenpaupack is a casual style eatery with a vintage and seafood focus located on the shoreline of Lake Wallenpaupack. The Settlers Inn has the highest price point, followed by Glass-wine.bar.kitchen, and the lowest price point is the casual fair at The Dock on Wallenpaupack. Cocoon coffee house and bakery is a locally roasted coffee shop and quick service breakfast location, available at the Hawley Silk Mill.
