CAD Technician

A CAD Technician will be responsible for the following tasks: Design all types of gaseous type fire suppression including mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects. Create Submittal Packages, Working Plans, As-Built drawings and closing project documents. Produce hydraulic calculations, installation drawings, bill of materials, pipe and fittings lists. Prepare documentation to send with drawings and fire suppression systems. Writing and updating technical manuals. Creating Technical Data Sheets. General drafting needs. Preferences: Experience or educational background in Mechanical and/or Electrical design.
Minimum one-year drafting experience with AutoCAD 2010 or newer.
Technical writing experience or classes.
Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must have good communication skills, be able to multi-task and be highly organized. Basic computer skills in order to learn hydraulic flow calculation software as well as perform daily tasks.
