Kim's earlier experience includes roles at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, where rankings improved under oversight, and as a Data Analyst at Move, Inc., contributing to customer experience enhancements. Education includes a Master of Public Health from California State University San Marcos and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from California State University, Fullerton.
