George Peat

George Peat is currently a Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at Sheffield Hallam University, a position held since April 2022. Additionally, George serves as a Visiting Professor and previously held the role of Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at Keele University from March 2011 and from 1999 to 2010, George was a Senior Lecturer and Postdoctoral Researcher at the same institution. George's earlier experience includes working as a Research Physiotherapist at Salford Royal Hospital Trust from 1993 to 1998. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Rheumatology from The University of Manchester (1993-1998), a Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health Sciences from The University of Edinburgh (1991-1992), and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Distinction in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret College University (1988-1991).
