Derek McKay currently serves as the Executive General Manager for Offshore Wind and Generation at Shell Energy Australia since February 2021. Prior to this role, Derek held various leadership positions, including Executive General Manager for Generation and CIO at ERM Power from September 2007 to February 2021, and served as a Non-Executive Director at ESCO Pacific Holdings Pty Ltd from November 2021 to July 2022. Derek's extensive experience in the energy sector includes managing a trading team at Source Power & Gas and overseeing commercial operations at Enertrade. Derek began their career at Delta Electricity, progressing from a Cadet Mechanical Engineer to roles in trading and analysis. Educational qualifications include a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an MBA from Deakin University, and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney.
