Sarah Owen

Sarah Owen has a diverse work experience, primarily in leadership roles. Sarah served as the Vice President of Business Development at Shell Point Retirement Community starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of President & Chief Executive Officer at Collaboratory from 2011 to 2023. During their tenure at Collaboratory, Sarah developed the concept of a model community foundation and executed on the vision of holistically solving local social problems. Before Collaboratory, they worked as the Chief Executive Officer at Community Cooperative from 2005 to 2011. In this role, they led the organization dedicated to ending hunger and homelessness by merging three nonprofits and boards into one unified entity. Sarah collaborated with the leadership team to identify innovative solutions during The Great Recession and managed a large team and budget.

Sarah Owen has a Master of Arts - MA degree in Education from the University of South Florida. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Education from Florida Southern College. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained a certification in Modern Art & Ideas from The Museum of Modern Art in May 2023.
