Michael Collins is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in leadership roles across various sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Finance at ShelterBox since June 2021, Michael oversees all financial, legal, and facilities matters for the international humanitarian aid organization. Previous positions include Financial Controller at Wildanet, Finance Director for The Cornwall College Group, and CFO at Plan International, where responsibilities encompassed finance, legal, IT, and facilities management. With a wealth of experience as Chief Financial Officer at Education Services Australia and extensive auditing roles at Tate & Lyle, Michael has developed a robust skill set in financial operations and management. Educationally, Michael holds a Master's of Corporate Sustainability from Monash University and a Diploma of Carbon Management from Swinburne University of Technology, among other qualifications.

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and vital supplies to support communities around the world overwhelmed by disaster and humanitarian crisis. Since we began in 2000, we have responded to earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, tsunamis, hurricanes, landslides, typhoons and conflict, delivering emergency humanitarian aid to communities in need. Simply put, if there are families in need of emergency shelter, we will do everything we can to help them.
