Chris Lassiter

Chris Lassiter is an experienced professional with a diverse background in community engagement, marketing, and communications. Currently serving as the Community Engagement Director at the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge since January 2022, Chris also holds the position of Marketing and Communications Director at the Staunton-Augusta Family YMCA since November 2017. Prior roles include working as a Retail Sales Representative at both Shentel and nTelos Wireless, where Chris specialized in creating custom wireless plans for customers. Previously, as a Reporter for The News Leader from August 1998 to August 2013, Chris excelled in deadline-driven writing, covering local sports, and producing unique stories and a sports podcast. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Shenandoah University.
