Chris Olver has extensive work experience in infrastructure and operations. Chris is currently the Head of Infrastructure & Operations at Shift since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at 3P Learning for over 13 years, where they held various roles such as Head of DevOps & Infrastructure and Technical Product Owner. In these roles, they were responsible for product ownership, requirement gathering, stakeholder management, business intelligence, and managing large amounts of data. Additionally, Chris has experience in network engineering. Chris also served as Company Director at Clanplanet Servers Ltd from 2004 to 2012.

Chris Olver attended Bournemouth and Poole College from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. Chris then went on to attend the University of Wales, Newport from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) - Honours degree in Computing.

In addition to their formal education, Chris Olver has obtained several certifications. In November 2012, they received the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from ISEB Ltd. Chris then became a Certified Scrum Product Owner through the Scrum Alliance in November 2013. In July 2013, they obtained the Open Water Diver certification from Scuba Schools International. In May 2015, they earned the Advanced Adventurer certification, and in August 2015, they obtained the Enriched Air Nitrox Level 2 (40%) certification, both from Scuba Schools International. Finally, in March 2017, they became a Certified Scrum Master through the Scrum Alliance.
