Ana Gomez-Mayen

Ana Gomez-Mayen is a Software Engineer at Shipium since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Software Development Deep Stack Bootcamp Trainee at Kal Academy in 2020. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Data Entry at Microsoft Research Team for Insight Global, where they labeled 28,800 images in Spanish for image recognition projects, identified and labeled 4,000 forms' images to automate this process through AI for a confidential project, and collected, digitized and labeled 8,000 sales receipts' images to automate the recognition of their components through AI. From 2008 to 2017, they worked as a SDE/IT Development Project Manager at Conagua (Comisión Nacional del Agua), where they reviewed software developments and apps with educational institutions, designed and developed Institutional Web Developments using Java, JavaScript and HTML, developed the Internal site of Sub Directorate General for Hydro-agricultural Infrastructure for 300+ employees, and designed and developed the Attendance Control System for personal of the Sub Directorate General for Hydro-agricultural Infrastructure. From 2003 to 2008, they worked as a Junior Database Administrator and Assistant Professor at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where they updated queries backend of the site www.bc.unam.

Ana Gomez-Mayen has an extensive educational background. Ana obtained a Bachelor in Computer Science from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2004, with a focus in Databases and SQL. Ana then went on to obtain a Master in Computer Engineering from the same university in 2009, with a focus in Databases. In 2013, they completed their Doctor of Public Image from Colegio en Imagen Pública. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications from institutions such as Datadog, LinkedIn, HackerRank, Kal Academy, and Positive Discipline Association.
