Dan Kaufman

Dan Kaufman is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur with a robust background in medicine and immunology. Currently serving as a Professor and co-Director at the Sanford Advanced Therapy Center at the University of California, San Diego since February 2016, Dan also holds the position of Scientific Co-Founder at Shoreline Biosciences, Inc. since June 2020. Prior to these roles, Dan was a Professor of Medicine and Associate Director of the Stem Cell Institute at the University of Minnesota from July 2002 to January 2016, and completed a Medical Residency, Hematology Fellowship, and Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1996 and 2002. Dan's educational background includes a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and an MD, PhD in Medicine and Immunology from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, completed in 1996.
