Nick Ekum has a diverse background in production and IT support. Nick started their career as an intern at Universal Studios/Joan Philo Casting, where they gained experience in video editing and web design. Nick then worked as a Sales Associate at Radio Shack, assisting customers with their technology needs and managing store operations. At Yahoo!, Nick served as an IT Care Center Shift Lead, providing support to employees and managing the office. Nick also worked at Apple as a Campus Representative, promoting Apple products and organizing events. Nick's experience in media production includes roles at Famous Monsters of Filmland, where they produced and managed media assets, and Playboy Plus Entertainment, where they served as a Media Asset Manager and IT Post Production Technician. At Shout! Factory, Nick held the position of Sr. Director of Production Operations, where they managed the creation and delivery of music and video assets and implemented post-production workflows. Prior to their current role, Nick worked at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh as a Teacher's Assistant, Web Designer, and Apple Specialist, where they provided IT support and managed the Apple department. Overall, Nick has a strong background in production operations, IT support, and management.
Nick Ekum earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Radio/TV/Film and Journalism from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh between 2005 and 2010. Nick has also obtained multiple certifications, including Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification, Google Analytics Individual Qualification, and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2020. Additionally, they have certifications in various software programs from Adobe, Apple, and Microsoft.
