Rui Amorim has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and positions. Rui is currently serving as the Chief Project Development Officer - Futuria Fuels at SHV Energy, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Technip Energies from 2017 to 2023, where they held the role of New Technologies Business Manager. In this role, they were actively involved in energy transition, decarbonization, sustainability, circular economy, and climate change policies, and was responsible for scouting and developing sustainable and renewable energy technologies.
Before joining SHV Energy, Rui was a Co-Owner at Grow Fit B.V. from 2016 to 2020, where they owned and operated My Gym Den Haag. Rui also worked at Technip as a Project Manager from 2012 to 2016, overseeing international projects and implementing new products and technologies. Prior to that, they served as a Quality, HSE, and Security Manager at Technip from 2008 to 2011, collaborating with various teams on quality assurance and security management.
Rui's earlier experiences include roles at Aker Solutions as a Quality Manager, Lear Corporation as a Supplier Quality Assurance Manager, Technologie-Transfer-Zentrum as an Environmental Project Manager, and Volkswagen Autoeuropa as an Environmental and Quality Engineer. In these positions, they successfully managed projects, implemented quality control measures, and led teams in the automotive industry.

Rui Amorim completed an Executive MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from 2010 to 2012. In 2006 to 2007, they obtained a Post-Graduation in Six Sigma Back Belt from Polytechnic of Leiria. Rui also pursued a Post-graduation in Environmental Management Systems from ISQ – Lisboa, Portugal. Lastly, Rui Amorim completed a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from UNIVERSIDADE LUSOFONA DE HUMANIDADES E TECNOLOGIAS – Lisboa, Portugal.
