Jeremy Cellarius has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jeremy is currently employed at The Shyft Group as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for their Specialty Vehicle division. Prior to this, they worked at LG Chem Michigan Inc. as the Manager of Pack/Module Development. From 2017 to 2019, they held the role of Chief Engineer for Fire Apparatus at Spartan Motors, Inc. Before that, they had a long tenure at AVL, where they held various positions including Chief Engineer, Skill Team Leader, and Group Leader in Design and Mechanical Development. Earlier in their career, they worked at Caterpillar as an Engineering Supervisor and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and at Ford Motor Company as a Senior Product Design Engineer. Jeremy began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant and Project Leader at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Overall, Jeremy has a wealth of experience in strategic initiatives, product development, and engineering leadership.
Jeremy Cellarius obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they also completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, from 1994 to 1999. In addition to their academic qualifications, Jeremy has received certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt from Caterpillar Inc. in 2009 and as a Six Sigma Black Belt trained in DMAIC and DFSS from Ford Motor Company in 2005.
