John L. Vermeersch, AIA, is a seasoned architect with extensive experience in project management and construction across various sectors, particularly in airport planning and development. Currently serving as a Senior Architect and Project Manager at SI Engineering, P.C. since December 2019, John has also held positions such as Structure Inspector at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Team Lead Apartments at AECOM. Prior to these roles, John managed projects for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and Hertz, overseeing airport facilities and development initiatives. With a diverse background that includes roles as an Owners Representative and Architect for various firms, John’s expertise spans medical facilities, municipal projects, and residential designs. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology, continuing education at Pratt Institute, and an Associate's degree in Civil Technology from SUNY Westchester Community College.
