Dr. Kay Fuerstenberg

Dr. Kay Fuerstenberg is a highly experienced professional in the field of electrical engineering and electronics, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chair of Global R&D at SICK since January 2010, after progressing through roles including Vice President of R&D and Senior Manager of Research & Technology. Prior to this, Dr. Fuerstenberg held the position of Director of Research and Intellectual Property at Ibeo from December 1999 to December 2009. Dr. Fuerstenberg holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from Hamburg University of Technology and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from Ulm University, obtained between 2001 and 2004.
