Benjamin Froehlich has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and product management. Benjamin started their career at Siemens in 2009 as a Commissioning Engineer for Industrial Steam Turbines. Benjamin then transitioned to the role of Product Manager for Service Industrial Steam Turbines in 2012 and later became the Head of Product Management for Service Industrial Steam Turbines in Essen/Nuremberg in 2015. In 2019, they joined Siemens Energy and assumed the position of Global Head of Engineering for Reciprocating Compressors and Gas Engines. Benjamin currently holds this role, and their responsibilities also include being the Global Head of Engineering for Service Reciprocating Compressors and Gas Engines.

Benjamin Froehlich pursued their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. From 2003 to 2009, they attended Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Diploma (FH) in Mechanical Engineering. As part of their studies, in 2006, Benjamin also participated in an International Exchange Program at Kettering University. In 2008 and 2009, they completed their diploma thesis at Siemens Cooperate Technology Munich - Environmental Affairs & Technical Safety, focusing on the development of a guideline for heat recovery at production sites.
