Farzad Taremi is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in gas turbine technologies. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Siemens Energy since July 2015, Taremi focuses on advanced design and optimization methods for turbine components, including aerodynamics and mechanical integrity. Previously, Taremi was a Principal Engineer and Project Manager, leading multidisciplinary teams in the aerodynamic design and optimization of HL-class gas turbines. Prior roles at Siemens involved computational fluid dynamics and turbine performance predictions, and earlier academic positions included research on transonic turbine airfoils and teaching at Carleton University, where Taremi earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering. Taremi’s educational background also includes a B.Eng. from Carleton University and a Power MBA set to be completed in 2025.
