Vasi Philomin

Vasi Philomin currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Data and AI at Siemens since June 2025. Prior to this role, Vasi held the position of Vice President & General Manager of Generative AI at Amazon from June 2017 to June 2025, overseeing the launch and management of extensive AI services on AWS, including various applications in language, vision, industrial, medical, and developer tools. Vasi's earlier experience includes leading the public segment business at Philips Lighting from January 2015 to June 2017 and serving as General Manager of Philips CityTouch, where Vasi was instrumental in Los Angeles' transition to energy-efficient LED street lighting. Vasi's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science and multiple Master's degrees in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, along with executive education in Leadership Development from The Wharton School and Philips Octagon.
