Parker C. Jones

Parker C. Jones is a Mechanical Systems Engineer II at Sierra Space, specializing in modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis for the Dream Chaser spaceplane flight control actuation system since August 2022. Previously, Parker served as a Systems Engineer II at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, leading fin control algorithm development and Design Verification Testing for a modular Control Actuation System across multiple missile programs. Earlier roles include Systems Engineer I at Raytheon, where support was provided for Thrust Vector Control system development, and founder and chief engineer of the Clemson University Rocket Engineering team, which designed a rocket for the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition. Parker also gained valuable experience as a Human Factors Engineering Intern at NASA, a Supply Chain Management Intern at SpaceX, and a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op at MAHLE Behr USA, while building a strong foundation in mechanical engineering with a Bachelor's degree from Clemson University, obtained in 2017.
