Jacob Shawley

Jacob Shawley is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in research and development, primarily within the firearms industry at SIG SAUER, Inc. since May 2017. Currently serving as the R&D Team Lead in Test Engineering, Shawley has led initiatives in pistol development and continuous improvement, alongside involvement in belt-fed machine gun projects. Past roles include Research and Development Test Engineer and Design Engineer, with responsibilities spanning concept design, theoretical analysis, test coordination, and result analysis. Shawley’s experience includes internships and co-op positions at leading companies such as Cummins Inc. and McGard, as well as academic roles at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where educational accomplishments culminated in a Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
