George Yianni

George Yianni has extensive experience in technology leadership within the lighting industry, currently serving as CTO for Philips Hue at Signify since May 2018, and previously as Head of Technology for Philips Hue at Philips Lighting since January 2013. Yianni played a pivotal role in shaping technology strategies, product design, and architecture for connected lighting solutions. Prior positions at Philips Lighting include System Architect, Technology Manager for LightApps, and Security Function Owner, where significant contributions included designing the hue system and integrating security into development processes. Yianni is also a Global Shaper within the World Economic Forum's initiative, highlighting involvement in community and leadership development. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Natural Sciences - Physics from the University of Cambridge.
