Fernanda Amaral Melo

Fernanda Amaral Melo, MSc., is an experienced Tech Lead ML Engineer and Senior Data Scientist currently at Signifyd since August 2022, contributing to the development of a large-scale machine learning platform with automated model retraining and integration using mlflow and Databricks. Previously at Grupo Casas Bahia, Fernanda developed a fraud detection model deployed in major online sales channels. Earlier experience includes building Banco do Brasil's Analytical Platform for data science projects and leading a development team at Core Consulting for the Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz application. Fernanda holds a Master's degree in Computer Science specializing in Data Science from Universidade de Brasília, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, and has also been a Visiting Research Fellow in Machine Learning at Karlstad University.
