Varun Kumar

Varun Kumar currently serves as the SVP of Product & Engineering at Signifyd since September 2023. Prior to this role, Varun was the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Mastercard from June 2021 to September 2023, where leadership of the Identity Verification Engineering group was a key responsibility. Varun also held positions at Ekata, first as Senior Vice President of Engineering and later as Vice President of Engineering, contributing to the development of the Ekata Identity Engine, which leverages machine learning for global identity verification. Previous experiences include serving as VP of Engineering at Whitepages, Principal Architect at ExpertVoice, and Software Development Engineer roles at Amazon and Yahoo. Varun's education includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
