Hongqian Wang is a highly experienced battery engineer with a strong background in advanced Li-ion battery development, characterization, and evaluation for electric vehicle applications. Currently serving as a Staff Battery Engineer at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. since October 2019, Hongqian has previously held positions as a Senior and Battery Engineer within the same company. Prior experience includes a role as Technical Program Manager for Battery Technology at SERES EV, focusing on commercial cell sourcing and performance evaluation. Academic contributions include research as a Graduate Research Assistant at Northwestern University, where Hongqian investigated electrode morphology and battery degradation mechanisms, and conducted various electrochemical analyses. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from Northwestern University and a BS in Chemistry/Materials Science Engineering from Purdue University.
