Naoki Nitta

Naoki Nitta is a scientist at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. since 2016, specializing in advanced materials for lithium-ion batteries. Prior to this role, Naoki Nitta served as a graduate research assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2016, focusing on the development of phosphorus-based electrodes and investigating degradation in commercial lithium-ion batteries. Naoki Nitta authored two extensive review articles on lithium-ion battery electrodes and developed a novel high-energy cathode for thermal batteries. Earlier experience includes work as an undergraduate research assistant at Rice University from 2010 to 2011, where electrochemically etched porous silicon for battery anodes. Naoki Nitta holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rice University.
