David Nestler

David Nestler has worked in the engineering field since 2016. From 2016-2022, they were a Senior Electrical Engineer - PCB Design at SiLC Technologies, Inc. Prior to that, they were an Electrical Engineer at Duotech Services, where they were proficient in Altium PCB design and high-speed digital communications. From 2015-2018, they held two positions in the public sector - Commissioner for the Town of Sylva, and Board of Directors for the Tuckaseigee Water and Sewer Authority. From 2011-2010, they were President of the Main Street Sylva Association, and from 2010-2016, they were the Owner of Tree of Life Woodworks, LLC, where they designed and constructed high quality custom furniture.

David Nestler has a varied educational background. David obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Western Carolina University from 2013 to 2017. From 2017 to 2021, they took Continuing Education Courses at the Georgia Institute of Technology, earning a Radar Systems Certificate. David obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, they took Professional Crafts - Woodworking at Haywood Community College from 2008 to 2010.
