Jos Benschop is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in technology and research, currently serving as Executive Vice President Technology at ASML since January 1997 and as a Member of The Supervisory Board at Siltronic AG since May 2023. Benschop is also a Council Member for AWTI - Adviesraad voor wetenschap, technologie en innovatie since January 2018. Formerly, Benschop was a Professor of Industrial Physics at the University of Twente from April 2011 to March 2021. Initial career experience includes roles as an innovation manager and scientist at Philips Consumer Electronics from March 1984 to December 1996. Benschop holds a Dr. degree in Physics and an Ir. degree in Physics, both from the University of Twente.
