Lori Whelan

Managing Partner & COO at Silversmith Capital Partners

Lori co-founded Silversmith Capital Partners in 2015. She is responsible for all finance, operations, and talent management activities. Most importantly, she focuses on ensuring the firms values are operationalized into the day-to-day culture of Silversmith.

Lori brings a combination of strategy consulting, investing, and operating experience. She began her career in consulting at Bain & Company and then in private equity at Berkshire Partners. After receiving her MBA, she returned to Bain, where she worked primarily in the private equity practice, before joining one of her clients, Papa Gino’s, as EVP of Strategy and ultimately CFO.

Lori lives with her husband and two daughters in the suburbs of Boston. She is an avid sports fan, holding true to her Philly roots via her die hard support of the Eagles, no small feat having lived in Boston for more than 25 years. While her lacrosse playing days are well in the past, Lori’s competitive streak is satisfied with fantasy football GM duties and a far too occasional round of golf.

Lori serves on the Board of Trustees of The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, The Winsor School, and Boston Community Pediatrics, a nonprofit, private practice focused on bringing equity to pediatric healthcare.
