Kris McGlashan has a diverse work experience starting in 2001 when they worked as a Trainee Programmer at Maidensoft. They then moved on to roles at First Rate, starting as a Search Engine Marketing Strategist and eventually becoming a Technical Manager. In their role at First Rate, they managed client accounts and performed various tasks related to IT infrastructure, client services, and tech support. Kris then worked at Microsoft NZ as a Web Developer & Online Marketing Lead and later as a Digital Strategist. They also worked as a Freelance Online Consultant as a Sole Trader. From 2011 to 2015, Kris worked at Westpac New Zealand Limited in various roles such as Marketing Manager, Online Optimisation Manager, and Senior Performance Manager. Currently, Kris works at Silverstripe as a Senior Agile Project Manager & ScrumMaster and has held roles such as Programme Manager and Delivery Director.
Kris McGlashan pursued their education at Massey University, where they attended from 1999 to 2001. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Information Science degree, specializing in Computer Science and Information Systems. Kris also holds a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster, which they obtained in June 2015 from the Scrum Alliance.
