Datuk Shu Wei Lai attended Trine University from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing and Management. In 2017, they participated in an Executive Program at IMD, specializing in Advanced Strategic Management (ASM). Additionally, in February 2022, they obtained certifications in "Advice for Leaders during a Crisis" and "Articulating Your Value" from LinkedIn.
