Alan Tong has over 30 years of work experience in various financial roles. Alan started their career as an Accountant with the concrete division of Hong Leong Corporation in 1989. Alan then joined Asia Pacific Breweries (Singapore) Pte Ltd in 1994, where they progressed to the role of Financial Controller. In 2002, they joined Shanghai MHE Automation Co. Ltd. as a Financial Controller, where they also led the company's expansion plan. In 2005, they joined Airbus China as the Finance Director, responsible for financial and fiscal management aspects of the company and its subsidiaries in China. Alan successfully negotiated the finance function of a major investment project. Since 2016, they have been working as the Chief Financial Officer at Sime Darby, where they oversee financial management, procurement, and IT departments and effectively manages key stakeholders.

Alan Tong has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from the National University of Singapore. Alan also holds a Professional Accountant designation from the Association of International Accountants (AIA).
