Angie Brooks-Wilson is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and research. Currently serving as Dean of Science and Professor at Simon Fraser University since 2008, Brooks-Wilson has also held the position of Associate Vice President, Research pro tem and Department Chair for Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology. Additional roles include Distinguished Scientist and Senior Scientist at BC Cancer, and Professor at The University of British Columbia until July 2020. Brooks-Wilson holds a PhD in Genetics from The University of British Columbia, an MSc in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto, a BSc (Honours) in Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University, and completed post-doctoral studies in Pathology at the University of Washington.
