Galib Bhayani

Galib Bhayani is a seasoned public safety leader with extensive experience in various roles across law enforcement and academia. Currently serving as the Chief Safety and Risk Officer at Simon Fraser University and a Sessional Instructor in Police Leadership at the Justice Institute of British Columbia, Galib also provides executive coaching for senior public safety leaders through Bhayani Consulting Services. Previous positions include Chief Superintendent with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where responsibilities encompassed operations in the Lower Mainland district, and a decade-long career with the Federal Government of Canada, leading a team of investigators and police officers. Galib's educational background includes a Doctorate in Policing Studies from London Metropolitan University and a Master's in International Diplomacy from Norwich University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Psychology from Simon Fraser University.
