Yabome Gilpin-Jackson

Yabome Gilpin-Jackson, PhD, ICD.D, currently serves as the Vice-President of People, Equity and Inclusion at Simon Fraser University since April 2022, overseeing university-wide People Strategies and promoting equity and inclusion. With a long-standing affiliation with the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University as an Associate Faculty Member and adjunct faculty in leadership and organization development, Yabome has cultivated expertise in organizational change and development. As the co-founder of We Will Lead Africa, a global network aimed at enhancing the visibility of African leadership, Yabome actively supports learning and development as the founder of Supporting Learning & Development Consulting Inc. Previous roles include Chief People Officer at BCLC and Executive Director at Fraser Health Authority, where Yabome led transformative people and culture initiatives. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Human and Organization Systems, multiple graduate certificates, and degrees from prestigious institutions, culminating in a comprehensive background in leadership, organizational change, and social innovation.
