Jon Hansen has a diverse work experience starting in 2010 as an Adjunct Professor at Middle Tennessee State University. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Lead Digital Strategist at Pryor Consultation, where they created and implemented digital marketing strategies. In 2014, Jon joined SimplyAgree as a Django Developer and Product Development Lead, where they developed new features, integrated APIs, and performed full-stack development. Jon then moved to SmileDirectClub in 2016, initially working as a Software Engineer before becoming a Software Engineering Manager. In 2019, Jon joined 15Five as a Senior Python Engineer and later took on roles such as Senior Engineering Manager and Director of Product Engineering. Currently, they are a Senior Engineer at SimplyAgree starting from 2023.
Jon Hansen earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies from UCLA in 2004. Jon then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in History at Vanderbilt University from 2006 to 2008. Jon continued their education at Vanderbilt University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in History in 2015.
