Donna Hurley

Donna is a partner in their resources and infrastructure group, advising local government and public sector clients on a range of issues, with a focus on property work and public works. She also specialises in property development, leasing, subdivision, acquisitions, and disposals of commercial property.

Donna advises clients on the acquisition and disposal of property, easements, roading, reserves, public works, and leasing. She also provides advice on the Local Government Act 2002 and other local government-related statutes.

Accredited by Land Information New Zealand to undertake Crown property work (All Legislation and Roading Actions), Donna assists public sector clients with the acquisition and disposal of land under the Public Works Act, including offer back obligations under section 40 of the Act.

She also has extensive experience drafting Local Bills, commenting on Government legislation proposals, and assisting local authorities with the passage of legislation through Parliament.

Donna advises BP Oil New Zealand on all property issues related to subdivision, development and commercial leasing.
