Cherise Latortue

Cherise Latortue serves as Associate General Counsel at Simpson Strong-Tie since July 2024 and as a Lecturer of Law at USC Gould School of Law since January 2022, specializing in HR Compliance. Previously, Cherise held the position of Associate General Counsel at Flynn Group from May 2019 to July 2024, leading the employment department within a large organization and managing various employment and business issues as well as complex litigation. Cherise's legal career includes roles as a Senior Litigation Associate at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, a Labor & Employment Associate at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, and a General Litigation Associate at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP. Educational qualifications include a J.D. from USC Gould School of Law and a BA in French Linguistics and Economics from New York University. Cherise has actively participated in professional organizations, including roles with ALFA International and the National Bar Association.
