Bud Nelson is both VP, Corporate Counsel, and the Personal Data Protection Officer of Simulations Plus, Inc. and joined the company in January 2016. Bud brings more than 25 years of experience in general corporate legal matters, intellectual property, and technology development and management in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and software industries.
He received his Ph.D. and MA in Immunology and Microbiology, as well as his law degree from the University of Buffalo; and his previous positions were senior leadership roles at several life science and biotechnology companies. He is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and has completed the eCornell Data Protection Certification program. His innovative approach to problem-solving is reflected by his inventorship in more than a dozen US and ex-US patents.
