Engineer at SimX

Caolan Radford is an engineer at SimX who has previous experience working with Unity’s Editor API to develop internal design tools. Caolan also worked as a research assistant, prototyping a prospective Virtual Reality data visualisation tool for a private commercial client, as well as optimising previously shipped Virtual Reality experiences to work with new hardware and SDK updates. Prior to that, Caolan was a designer and producer for Team Sun Bear, designing and coordinating the development of "From the Verge to The Void", a PC-based first-person exploration game that reached the finals of 2015's "Dare to Be Digital" competition, hosted by University of Abertay in Dundee Scotland. Caolan has also been freelancing as a Unity C# Engineer since January 2012.

Caolan Radford has a MSc in Games Design and Development from the University Of Limerick and a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship & Management from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology.

They are on a team with Charles Brandt - Virtual Reality Engineer, Matt Whitman - Senior Engineer, and Jason Ribeira - Technical Lead. Caolan Radford reports to David Broadhurst, Head of Engineering.
