Dr. Julia Libcke serves as President of Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and Vice President of Post-Acute Care at Sinai Chicago. She joined the Mary Free Bed leadership team at Schwab in March 2022. Her responsibilities include executive oversight for Schwab as well as administrative and operational oversight for post-acute care services for the system.
Julia began her health care career as a RN, and was attracted early in her career to leadership. She led several inpatient rehabilitation teams at hospitals in Southwest Michigan, before joining the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan in 2004 as the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services. During her 14 years at RIM, Julia led this urban, free standing rehabilitation hospital to achieve excellent levels of performance in both inpatient and outpatient operations; including achieving Magnet Status. Most recently, Julia provided clinical leadership to an acute care hospital in Macomb, MI where she served as the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services before accepting the position at Schwab in March.
A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Nursing, Julia earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Oakland University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Madonna University in Michigan.
