Mark Kalaj is an accomplished scientist specializing in surface chemistry and materials science, currently holding the position of Staff Scientist at Singular Genomics since August 2021, after progressing through roles as Senior Scientist and Scientist II within the same department. Prior to this, Mark served as a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow and Graduate Student at the University of California San Diego from August 2017 to July 2021, contributing to inorganic research on the structure and properties of Actinides, specifically Uranium (VI) and Thorium (IV) hybrid materials.
