Roberts Sinto is currently seeking a Pipefitter to join our Team in Grand Ledge, MI
What You Will Do
Pipefitteris responsible for fitting all production machinery, debugs equipment, assist with startups, troubleshoots and assists in disassembling equipment for delivery to customers.
General
· Performs layout of machines, hydraulic, pneumatic, fabrication, cooling systems and related hardware per standards of customer, Roberts Sinto Corporation, NEC and ANSI.
· Works closely with engineers to identify and resolve controls problems.
· Ensures materials necessary to complete project have been procured and will be available to Controls Assembly timely in order to meet customer requirements.
· Coordinates Controls Assembly with Mechanical Assembly leaders, especially with regard to break points and/or any special customer requirements.
· Tube Bending: Hand Bending, Bench Bending, and Power Bench Bending
· Assists with startup of new machinery
· Disassembles machinery for shipment
· Performs miscellaneous duties and routine housekeeping.
What We Want From You
· (Pipefitter A) Associate Degree (AA) in Hydraulics and Pneumatics or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
· Ability to analyze and resolve basic problems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· (Pipefitter A) Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
· Ability to interpret all aspects of hydraulic, pneumatic and general knowledge of electrical diagrams.
· Ability to operate the following equipment:
threaders
benders
power flare
power hose crimp
drill press
power saws
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or equipment, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, extremes of heat and cold, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
