Dave Child began their work experience in 1985 at Hughes Aircraft Company as a Component Test Engineer, where they worked until 1988. Dave then joined Sigma Technologies International in 1992 as a Controls Engineer/Manager and remained in this role until 2008. From 2008 onward, Dave worked at Sion Power Corporation, initially as an Anode Manager until 2015 when they were promoted to Engineering Manager-Assistant Director of Engineering.
Dave Child attended the University of Arizona from 1980 to 1985, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Dave then went on to complete their Masters of Business Administration degree at the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management from 1988 to 1990.
