Sean Hong

Sean Hong is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware and platform development. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Systems Engineer at SirenOpt since January 2025, Sean previously held roles such as Staff Platform Engineer at Vimaan, where responsibilities included leading the development of data capture systems. At Hound Labs, Inc., Sean progressed from Senior R&D Engineer to Engineering Manager, overseeing the hardware engineering team and managing timelines for innovative product development. Prior experience includes a Research Engineer role at Sandstone Diagnostics, where Sean led the prototyping of diagnostic devices, and an instructional position at the University of California, Davis. Sean holds a PhD in Applied Science and a BS in Physics from the same institution.
